Liminal Shawl
Liminal Shawl
Liminal means on the edge of things or between things and it resonates with me and how I like to knit my shawls. I always prefer a mix of challenging & simple stitches, so just as I tire of one, I begin the other. Relaxing garter lies between rows of engaging brioche, a tumble of nupps and finished with a picot border. The result is a squishy, textured shawl to wrap up in during all of life’s adventures - be it a walk to the mailbox or trek through the wilderness.
*In purchasing this product you will receive a .pdf pattern for the pictured item so that you can knit them up yourself, not the actual finished item.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Wingspan - 85”/216 cm
Center Depth - 25”/63.5 cm
SUGGESTED YARN
Kettle Yarn Co Beyul DK
Baby Yak Down/ Silk/ SW Merino (232 yd/100 g/212 m)
4 skeins Iceberg (I used all but 10 g of the 4th skein. Each skein weighed in over 100 g, so if you are substituting yarns, you may want to snag a 5th skein!)
This ethical yarn is sourced from Yaks which have a minimal impact on sparse grassland and every single facet of the yak is used for survival making them and their fleece extremely environmental. All of the Merino is sourced from Peru from ethical farms that don’t use mulesing (cruel cutting) on their sheep. Yak is durable, breathable, lightweight and its incredible thermal properties keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter.
